Rain-Alert was created for roofing companies and other people that work outdoors to have notification ahead of rain or storms moving into their area. This could be a roofer with a roof uncovered, a concrete worker that just poured a new sidewalk, or event planners that need to prepare before rain moves over an outdoor party. The service utilizes the Doppler Radar imagery to find intense rain and then projects the speed and direction to alert people in the path of the rain up to 60 minutes before the rain arrives.

We have formatted the alerts to be short and sweet and although we continue to tweak the algorithms and message text, here is an example alert:

60-Minute Rain-Alert: At 5:39pm Heavy Rain was 50 miles WSW of Bob’s Job Site MOVING NE AT 48 mph. This storm may threaten your location around 6:40pm
